The COST Action SaPPART is entering its final stage with the publication of deliverables and the organisation of a conference on the role of positioning integrity in autonomous driving. In the beginning of the Action, the topic of vehicle automation was handled by specific group of experts and very few information was dedicated to GNSS positioning quality. Three years after the start of the Action, Galileo became a reality with its initial services, and the topic “robust positioning” is widely disseminated in the ITS conferences. This trend was a confirmation of the vision developed by SaPPART members who were involved in the development of new concepts for the assessment of the positioning performance in road applications…..
